Downtown Bradenton restaurant Pier 22 will close its doors Sunday for a $450,000 renovation. The celebrated spot on Memorial Pier will still accept reservations and book events, reopening to the public Sept. 15.
Updates and upgrades are planned for the inside of the waterfront eatery, known for its stunning views and chef-driven cuisine. Executive chef Greg Campbell said new flooring, lighting and furniture will be among the changes, as well as state-of-the-art kitchen enhancements, a new bar design and high-tech air systems.
Jon and Victoria Moore of Palmetto’s Moore2 Design, who are set to work closely with Campbell and Pier 22 owner Hugh Miller, developed the interior design.
Alongside the restaurant’s physical revamp, Campbell said he will add fresh New American items to his fall menu. The signature dishes, though, will remain on hand.
